4140 (42CrMo4)
It is a chrome-molybdenum alloyed tempering steel. Thanks to its high ductility and tensile strength, it is mainly used in machine parts. It is supplied in two different conditions: heat-treated (28-32 HRC) and non-heat-treated (~240 HBW). This material, frequently used in the mold sector, is suitable for surface hardening processes. Its usage hardness is approximately 50-55 HRC.
