Toolox 44
Toolox44 possesses high toughness and wear resistance. It is produced through a stress-relieving treatment for dimensional stability. Supplied in a hardened and tempered condition, Toolox44 eliminates the need for a thermal treatment step, thus saving production time. Despite having a hardness of 450 HBW (45HRc), Toolox44 is easily machinable. With its high strength at elevated temperatures, it's also a suitable material for hot applications. Toolox44, with its structure cleanliness in ESR quality, boasts superior polishability and pattern capability. Thanks to its high mechanical properties, Toolox44 demonstrates high performance and longevity in various applications such as forming molds, cutting molds with breaking issues, plastic injection and extrusion molds (for non-corrosive plastics), rubber molds, forging molds, metal injection molds, machine components, tool holders, shaft and column applications, hot wear plates, guillotine shears, and more. Its service life can be extended with appropriate surface treatments. Additionally, Toolox44 can be welded using the right method and parameters.
