CK 45
It is an unalloyed carbon steel containing carbon and small amounts of manganese and silicon. It is supplied in a softly annealed state (~170-200 HBW). Thanks to the trace carbide-forming elements, it can be easily hardened. It is the most used manufacturing steel in the mold sector as a carrier, in machine parts, and fixture manufacturing. Its usage hardness is approximately 40-45 HRC.
